CHICAGO—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's tennis team opened their 2020-21 season with a Saturday-morning affair at Dominican (Ill.) in Forest Park, Illinois. The Scarlet Hawks improved to 3-0 all-time against the Stars with a 9-0 sweep in the 2020-21 season opener.

The Scarlet Hawks polished the Stars in doubles with 8-0 scores in each match. Morgan Colbert/Kylie Hance defeated Sharon Neiza/Julia Hochstatter in the No. 1 slot, Mouna Chahin/Ramya Nissankula took down Jacqueline Candelas/Stephanie Anhalt in No. 2 doubles, while Allyson Trang/Manon Tesche beat Alyssa Fahner/Cali Carlson in the No. 3 slot.
The singles flight resulted in three 6-0, 6-0 scores for the Scarlet Hawks. Morgan Colbert did the honors with a win over Sharon Neiza in the No. 1 slot. Allyson Trang accomplished that feat with a victory over Jacqueline Candelas in No. 3 singles, while Ramya Nissankula matched that performance in No. 5 singles with a decision over Alyssa Fahner.
Kylie Hance picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Julia Hochstatter in No. 2 singles, while Mouna Chahin tallied a 6-1, 6-0 decision over Stephanie Anhalt in the No. 4 slot. No. 6 singles saw Manon Tesche convert a 6-0, 6-2 win over Cali Carlson.
The Scarlet Hawks will host Lakeland at the XS-Tennis Center on Wednesday, April 7 at 4:00 p.m.
