CHICAGO—Illinois Institute of Technology women's tennis senior Morgan Colbert was named April 8 NACC Women's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week. Colbert, the reigning NACC Women's Tennis Player of the Year, pulled down her first career NACC weekly honor.

The Glen Carbon, Illinois native was a workhorse for the Scarlet Hawks in their 9-0 victory over Dominican (Ill.) on April 3. Colbert/Kylie Hance throttled Sharon Neiza/Julia Hochstatter 8-0 in No. 1 doubles. Her flawless match continued with a 6-0, 6-0 thrashing of Sharon Neiza in No. 1 singles.

Colbert carries a 44-14 career singles record, and a 57-11 career doubles mark as of April 8. 

The Scarlet Hawks return to action on Saturday, April 10 at Alverno. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
