RACINE, WIS.—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's tennis team embarked on a Saturday-afternoon match against Alverno College in Racine, Wisconsin. The Scarlet Hawks continued their dominating ways with their third-straight 9-0 sweep to open the 2020-21 season.
The Scarlet Hawks improve to 3-0, 3-0 NACC while Alverno falls to 0-2, 0-2 NACC.

The Scarlet Hawks were unstoppable from top-to-bottom in both the singles and doubles flights. The doubles portion resulted in 8-0 scores courtesy of Morgan Colbert/Kylie Hance in the No. 1 position, and Manon Tesche/Allyson Trang in the No. 3 slot. No. 2 doubles saw Mouna Chahin/Ramya Nissankula register an 8-1 victory over Kalei Hanna/Jackie Velasco-Soberanis.
Five-of-six singles matches resulted in 6-0, 6-0 victories for the Scarlet Hawks, thanks to Morgan Colbert (No. 1), Kylie Hance (No. 2), Mouna Chahin (No. 4), Ramya Nissankula (No. 5) and Manon Tesche (No. 6). Allyson Trang trounced Kalei Hanna 6-2, 6-0 in No. 3 singles.
The Scarlet Hawks will host Concordia (Wis.) at the XS-Tennis Center tomorrow, Sunday, April 11 at 12:00 p.m.
