CHICAGO, ILL.—The Illinois Institute of Technology women's tennis team hosted Edgewood College in a Sunday-morning affair at the XS-Tennis Center. The Scarlet Hawks found themselves on the wrong end of a 6-3 score to the Eagles.
Illinois Tech falls to 4-2, 4-2 NACC while Edgewood stays undefeated at 5-0, 4-0 NACC.

Mouna Chahin/Ramya Nissankula picked up the Scarlet Hawks' lone doubles victory as they registered an 8-5 decision over Alyssa Carew/Kinsey Kessel in the No. 3 slot.
The bottom of the singles flight came through for Illinois Tech as they picked up victories in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots. Chahin tallied a 7-6, 6-2 win over Lydia Dean in No. 5 singles, while Nissankula converted a 5-7, 6-4, 14-12 nail bitter over Ellie Murphy in No. 6 singles.
The Scarlet Hawks will return to competition on Saturday, April 24 at Marian (Wis.). Match time is set for 12:00 p.m.
