Jameson Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

New Orleans, La. - The honors for Olivia Jameson continue to come in, as the first-year women's track and field student-athlete was named as a United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Track and Field All-Academic recipient for the 2023 season.

"This is the ultimate accolade any of our student-athletes could achieve" said Track and Field Head Coach Tyler McQuality. "Excelling both in the classroom and on the track is paramount to personal growth and this award exemplifies who Olivia is. We are very proud of her and everything she accomplished" said McQuality.

To be eligible for the USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honors, the student-athlete must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum CUMULATIVE grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period.
  • Graduate students must take all undergraduate plus graduate coursework into account.
  • Meet one of the following athletic criteria:
    • Must have finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
    • Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.

Jameson finished tied for 12th nationally in NCAA Division III for the high jump with a jump of 1.68 meters (5'6") during the outdoor track and field season, and competed at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. Jameson also finished tied for 31st nationally during the indoor track and field season with a jump of 1.63 meters (5'4.25").
